What we keep, why, for how long, and what you can ask us to do with it. Short and plain.

Who we are

ANGVIS LTD, company number 12763866, registered office 61 Bridge St, Kington HR5 3DJ, United Kingdom. ANGVIS and CLVB are our labels. For anything about your data, email management@angvis.com.

The promo pool

If you join the ANGVIS or CLVB promo pool (on angvis.com/promo, by saying yes to one of our emails, or because you were on our previous promo list), we keep:

  • your name, email, role, links, country and the note you sent us
  • which pools you are in, and when and how you agreed to get promos
  • for each promo: whether you opened it, played it or downloaded it
  • your ratings and comments
  • a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address when you use the sign-up form, to stop spam sign-ups
  • if you log in to Your promos: your login codes and login sessions (details below)

Your promos page: logged in, you see every promo we've sent you, your ratings and comments, and your pool settings. You log in with your email and a 6-digit code we email you; there is no password. We store each code only in scrambled (hashed) form, it works for 10 minutes and a few tries, and old codes are deleted after a day. When you log in we keep a login session (also stored hashed) for 30 days so you stay logged in; logging out ends it straight away, and stopping promos ends all of them. Sessions are deleted 30 days after they end.

Why: to send you promos and to see what you think of them. The legal basis is your consent, which you give with the tick box and the confirmation link, or with your yes by email.

Never shared or sold. Your details are only used for ANGVIS and CLVB promos.

Quotes: if we like your comment on a record, we may show it in public (for example on social media or a press page) with your name or outlet. Don't want that? Tell us and we won't.

How long we keep it:

  • for as long as you get promos from us, or until you ask us to delete it
  • sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after 30 days
  • if you don't open or play several promos in a row, we stop sending and mark you inactive; inactive details are deleted after 24 months without any activity
  • when you stop promos, we keep only your email and the date you stopped, so we never email you again; everything else on your profile is cleared

This website

  • Cookies and analytics: when you first visit, a banner asks if we may use Google Analytics. It only loads, and only sets its cookies, if you click Accept, and it runs with IP anonymisation on. Decline and nothing is loaded. You can change your choice any time with Cookie settings in the footer; withdrawing deletes the analytics cookies. Your choice itself is remembered in your browser's local storage.
  • Login cookie: if you log in to Your promos, we set one cookie (angvis_promo_hub) that keeps you logged in for up to 30 days. It can't be read by scripts on the page, is only sent to angvis.com and is strictly necessary for the login, so it doesn't need the cookie banner. Log out to delete it.
  • Contact form: messages sent from the Connect page are delivered to our inbox by FormSubmit (formsubmit.co), a form-to-email service.
  • Embedded players: some pages show Spotify playlists and YouTube videos. These load from Spotify and YouTube (videos use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode) and follow their own privacy policies.

Who helps us run this

These companies process data for us, only to provide their service:

  • Supabase: the database where the promo pool and its stats are stored
  • Backblaze: file storage for the promo music and artwork you stream and download
  • Resend: sends our emails (confirmation emails and promos)
  • Vercel: hosts this website

Some of them may store data outside the UK. When they do, it is covered by the standard safeguards UK and EU law require.

Your rights

We collect emails from people all over the world. Whoever you are and wherever you live, you get the same rights, built to the UK GDPR and EU GDPR standard:

  • see what we hold about you
  • have it corrected
  • have it deleted
  • withdraw your consent any time: use the Stop receiving promos link in any of our emails, or email us

Email management@angvis.comand we'll reply within a month. If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or your local data protection authority.
