What you leave with
A week of writing and a holiday
New songs you co-write
Four writing days with new co-writers every day: expect four or more new songs of your own, and a dozen or more from the group.
Finished demo to present
Your strongest ideas are taken to a demo and presented to the whole group on Saturday.
Feedback from a label
Every song is played at the final listening session, with label A&R feedback on what works and what to do next.
New collaborators
Seven other writers you have actually made music with, and a split sheet for every song.
Why this camp
Run by a label, so the songs have somewhere to go
Write to real briefs
Each day starts from a brief: an ANGVIS release brief, a theme set for the day, or an open day for your own ideas.
A route to release
After the camp, ANGVIS can offer to release the strongest songs. You keep your writer share either way.
Small by design
Eight writers only, in rooms of two or three. Everyone gets heard, every day, and nobody gets lost in a crowd.
Content you can use
The week is filmed and photographed. You get portraits and studio clips of yourself for your own channels.
Where we stay
Petali Village Hotel, Ano Petali
A small hotel on the hillside above Apollonia, with a pool, gardens and views across the island to the sea. We sleep at the hotel and write at a private house about 400 m away, our studio for the week.

The island
Sifnos, Greece
A quiet island in the Cyclades, about 2.5 hours by fast ferry from Athens. Whitewashed villages, hundreds of small chapels, clear water and some of the best food in Greece. Sifnos is known for its pottery and its cooking. In June the days are at their longest and the August crowds haven't arrived yet.

Strong summer winds sometimes cancel ferries. Book flexible flights and plan a night in Athens on the way home.
As the camp gets closer, everyone accepted gets a full guide with the exact ferry times and all the practical details for the week.
FAQ
Before you apply
Who runs the camp?
ANGVIS, an independent electronic music label founded in London in 2020. You can hear our releases at angvis.com/music.
Do I need to be signed or well known?
No. We look for people who write and finish music, whatever the size of their audience. Two or three tracks you made are all we need to hear.
How are writers chosen?
We listen to every application and pick a balanced group: producers, topliners and vocalists, and artist-writers who will work well together. Quality and attitude matter more than numbers.
When do I hear back?
We reply to every application. If you are accepted, you have 72 hours to pay the deposit and confirm your place.
Who is it for?
Producers, topliners, vocalists and artists who write their own songs, working in electronic music. You need to be 18 or older and have finished music you can share with us.
Where exactly will we stay?
At Petali Village Hotel in Ano Petali, a quiet hillside village a short walk from Apollonia, the main village of Sifnos. The writing sessions happen at a private house about 400 m from the hotel. The beaches are a short bus or taxi ride away.
What about food?
Breakfast is included every day. Lunch is included Monday to Saturday: on the boat day it is served on board. We also have a welcome dinner and a final dinner on the last night. The other meals are yours: Apollonia is full of tavernas, and we give you a list of our favourites with prices. Tell us about any dietary needs when you apply.
Do I have to share a room?
Yes. Rooms are shared by two or three writers, and everyone has their own bed (some rooms for three use a sofa-bed). You never share a bed with someone you don't know. You can ask to room with a friend.
Who owns the songs?
You keep your share of every song you write, and every session fills in a split sheet on the day. For 60 days after the camp, ANGVIS can offer to release a song under a separate agreement signed by all its writers. If we don't, the writers are free to do what they like with it.
Can I use AI tools?
No AI-generated vocals or stems in camp songs.
Is the camp accessible?
Sifnos is a hilly island with steep paths, uneven ground and many steps. The hotel, the studio house and the villages all involve stairs, and getting around means a fair amount of walking. This makes the camp physically demanding and not well suited to people with limited mobility. That is about the island's geography, not about who is welcome: if you have access needs, tell us in the form under 'Anything else we should know?' and we will tell you honestly what is possible.
What should I bring?
Your laptop with your DAW, closed-back headphones, and a portable instrument if you play one. You don't need an audio interface: the studio has one. We send a full packing list after you're accepted.
What if I need to cancel?
The 30% deposit is not refundable. If you cancel before the balance is due on 10 May 2027, you only lose the deposit. After you pay the balance there is no refund, unless we fill your place from the waiting list: then you get everything back except the deposit. If the camp does not go ahead, you get everything back. You can also transfer your place to someone we accept. The full participation terms are at angvis.com/sifnos/terms.
