Sifnos Songwriting Camp

Sifnos Songwriting Camp 2027

Participation terms

Published 29 September 2026, updated 4 October 2026. Please read these before you apply.

1. Organiser

The camp is organised by ANGVIS LTD, company no. 12763866, 61 Bridge Street, Kington HR5 3DJ, United Kingdom ("ANGVIS", "we").

2. The camp

  • Dates: Sunday 20 June to Sunday 27 June 2027 (7 nights).
  • Location: Petali Village Hotel in Ano Petali, Sifnos, Greece, with writing sessions at a private house nearby. If it becomes unavailable, we may move the camp to comparable accommodation on Sifnos and will tell you as soon as possible.
  • Program: 4 writing days in rotating groups, a boat day and a final listening session. The day-by-day schedule may change slightly because of weather, ferries or the needs of the group.

3. What's included

  • 7 nights' accommodation, in a room shared by two or three participants, each with their own bed (some rooms for three use a sofa-bed).
  • Breakfast every day, lunch from Monday to Saturday (served on board on the boat day), a welcome dinner and a final dinner.
  • Port pick-up and drop-off on arrival and departure day.
  • A boat trip around the island, with lunch on board.
  • All writing sessions, daily briefs, and the final listening session.
  • A shared studio setup (audio interface, monitors and a vocal mic).
  • Photo and video content of you at the camp.

4. What's not included

  • Flights, ferries to and from Sifnos, and travel to the port of Piraeus.
  • Meals other than those listed in section 3, drinks outside group meals and personal expenses.
  • Travel and health insurance (see section 9).
  • Your own laptop and headphones.

5. Eligibility and application

  • You must be 18 or older.
  • Places are by application. Applying is free and doesn't guarantee a place. We select for a balanced group of producers, topliners and vocalists, and artist-writers.
  • Your place is confirmed only when we accept your application in writing and receive your deposit within 72 hours of acceptance. If the deposit doesn't arrive in time, the acceptance lapses and the place is offered to the next applicant.

6. Prices

  • Camp place: EUR 2,100 per person, the early-bird price. Duos who apply together pay the same price each and share a room.
  • For applications accepted after 15 November 2026, a higher standard price applies. We publish it on angvis.com/sifnos before the early bird ends, and the price that applies to you is always the one in your acceptance email.
  • The early-bird price applies if we accept your application by 15 November 2026 and you pay the deposit on time.

7. Payment schedule

  1. Deposit, 30%: due within 72 hours of acceptance. The deposit is non-refundable, except where section 8 says otherwise.
  2. Balance, 70%: due 10 May 2027.

Payment is by bank transfer to ANGVIS LTD: EUR by SEPA to our euro account, or GBP by UK bank transfer. A card payment link is available on request. You receive an invoice for every payment. If a payment is more than 7 days late after a reminder, we may cancel your place, and payments already made are treated under section 8.

8. Cancellations and refunds

Minimum numbers. The camp runs if at least 8 participants have paid their deposit by 10 December 2026. If not, we cancel the camp and refund 100% of everything you paid, deposit included, within 14 days.

If you cancel:

  • Before you pay the balance (due 10 May 2027): you lose the deposit and owe nothing more.
  • After you pay the balance: no refund, unless we fill your place from the waiting list, in which case you get everything back except the deposit.

Transfer: you can transfer your place to another person at no charge, with our approval. They go through the application process.

If we cancel for any reason within our control, you get a 100% refund, deposit included, within 14 days.

Events outside anyone's control (for example extreme weather, ferry strikes or cancellations, natural disasters, travel bans or public health measures): we will try to postpone or relocate first. If the camp can't go ahead, we refund all payments minus costs already paid to suppliers that we cannot recover, and we show you the breakdown.

We are not responsible for your flights or ferries if the camp is cancelled, so we recommend flexible bookings and insurance.

9. Travel and insurance

  • You arrange and pay for your own travel to Sifnos. We send a travel guide with a recommended ferry.
  • Travel and health insurance is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend cover for medical care, repatriation, cancellation and your belongings.
  • ANGVIS does not provide insurance for participants and is not liable for medical costs, repatriation, cancellation costs, or loss of or damage to your belongings or equipment. Any such costs are yours, whether or not you are insured.
  • Ferries between Piraeus and the islands can be cancelled by strong winds. We recommend flexible flights and a buffer night in Athens on the way home.
  • We are not responsible for missed connections or extra costs caused by travel delays.

10. Rooms

  • Rooms are shared by two or three participants, each with their own bed (some rooms for three use a sofa-bed). Strangers never share a bed.
  • You can ask to share with a specific person. Otherwise we allocate rooms, and mixed rooms happen only when both people ask for it.

11. Music, rights and credits

  • You keep your share of every song you write. ANGVIS does not take ownership of your songs by running the camp.
  • Every session fills in a split sheet on the day (writers, percentages, PRO and IPI). You agree to sign the split sheets for the songs you took part in.
  • ANGVIS first option: for 60 days after the camp (until 26 August 2027), ANGVIS can offer to release any camp song. A release happens only under a separate recording agreement signed by the writers of that song. If ANGVIS doesn't take up its option, the writers are free to do what they want with the song.
  • Samples must be cleared or royalty-free.
  • No AI-generated vocals or stems in camp songs.

12. Photos and video

We film and photograph the camp. By attending, you agree that ANGVIS can use this content, including your name, image and voice, to promote the camp and ANGVIS, without payment. You also receive the content featuring you, for your own use. Tell us on day one if there's a moment you don't want filmed.

13. Code of conduct

  • Respect everyone. No harassment, discrimination or unwanted advances. Consent is non-negotiable.
  • Illegal drugs are forbidden. Greek law is strict.
  • Drink responsibly.
  • Follow the house rules: quiet hours, no amplified sound after 22:00, no parties and no outside guests without our OK.
  • Treat the accommodation and the gear with care. You pay for damage you cause.
  • Serious breaches mean removal from the camp without a refund.
  • A named welfare lead is on site all week. Their details are in the onboarding pack.

14. Your belongings and liability

  • You are responsible for your own belongings and equipment. Bring insurance that covers them.
  • Swimming, the boat day and all activities are at your own risk. Follow the crew's safety instructions.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, ANGVIS's total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the camp.

15. Your data

We use your application details only to run the selection and the camp, including rooms, dietary needs and emergency contacts. If you aren't accepted, we delete them within 12 months. If you are, we keep what's needed for invoices and split sheets.

16. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
